I lived in Indianapolis. I am from india, I sent my old camera back home using Fedex, everything went fine. Couple of weeks from that , I moved to california. All this happened in the month of April.

today ( Oct 27 ), I got a call from collection Agency saying that Fedex forwarded a case for collecting 30$ ( duty charged for camera unexpectedly ).

I dont have a problem paying that 30$, I never did. This would have been much easier if Fedex people called me instead. I would have payed this 30$ over the phone and get it done with. There is a reason why I left my phone number with Fedex. ( so that they can call me if there is something wrong with the package ).

I wonder how lazy people can get?. They just forwarded the collecting responsibility to a collection agency instead. We all know how sweet collection agencies are!!

I can understand your frustration. NO ONE LIKES COLLECTION AGENCIES!

However, Fedex ships (average) 12-13 million packages worldwide.

Now image if merely 1% of shipments had a 'billing error' like the one your had, that would be 120,000 calls that would have to be made daily. The problem is that Fedex has become too big for their own good, but to expect a call directly from Fedex is humanly impossible, hence the outsourcing to collection agencies.

WHAT A BUCH OF LAZY LOSERS AT FEDEX. WE USED (WE CANCELLED IT NOW) HAVE AN ACCT WITH THEM AND THEY WOULD CHARGE OUR AMEX.

WE HAD SOMEONE STEAL OUR AMMEX # SO WE HAD TO CHANGE AMEX #'S. WE FORGOT WHO ALL HAD OUR OLD AMEX #. SENT OUT 2 FEDEX ENV.

INSTEAD OF CALLING US & ASKING FOR NEW AMEX # THEY TURN OVER TO COLLECTION. WOW
