I would like to post a complaint to some of MY customers on my Fedex Route. And to tell you the truth, I have one of the better routes.
To you who do not shovel your walk/driveway- ***
To you who do not put your dogs in-***
To you who expect me to walk 1.5+ miles to place your package at your doorstep-***
To you who call in to complain that I didn't walk the 1.5+ miles to your doorstep and left your package in your driveway where you could see it wrapped in a bag with a Fedex sticker on it-***.
I can't tell you how many times I've slipped and fallen on your walks
How many times I've told you over and over again "JUST SIGN THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR TAG WHERE IT SAYS SIGN HERE AND I MAY LEAVE YOUR PACKAGE"
How many times I HAVE TO BE BITTEN BY YOUR "OH SHE/HE'D JUST LICK YOU TO DEATH," DOG
How many times I HAVE FEARED FOR MY LIFE walking onto a total strangers property to deliver a package
I drive 100 to 150 miles a day. I do not take a lunch, I'm not paid for a lunch-rather a series of potty/snack breaks.
I work, on average 12 hour days (not to include the Christmas season)
During the Christmas season I don't get to see my family much since WE AT FEDEX ARE NOT CONSIDERED EMPLOYEES, WE BUY ROUTES FROM FEDEX AND MUST DELIVER/ATTEMPT TO DELIVER EVERY SINGLE PACKAGE-DAILY-NO MATTER THE QUANTITY OUR ROUTE REQUIRES US TO DELIVER-which boils down to 20 hour workdays.
I HAD TO RENT A MOTEL ROOM 5 TIMES LAST CHRISTMAS SEASON BECAUSE I WAS TOO TIRED TO MAKE THE 20 MINUTE COMMUTE (barring no blizzard) HOME AND BACK THE NEXT MORNING.
The contractor I work for did not pay for that, of course, and guess what? The bonus I was supposed to get for all those long hours..... I never got, which is not the customers fault, of course,
BUT JEEZ PEOPLE GIVE ME A BREAK WITH YOUR COMPLAINTS THAT THE DRIVER DIDN'T KNOCK HARD ENOUGH, DIDN'T RING THE BELL - (like I really want to keep your package and come back again and again and again and again and again...)
Or the best and final *** complaint---"It says online that they left it on the front porch, but it was left at the backdoor/garage and I couldn't find it"
You got your f-g package didn't you?
