Purchased a $600 purpose-built, steel reinforced, plywood covered reusable shipping container to ship a TV. The container was worth more than the TV.
FedEx completely destroyed it on it's first shipment (so the reusable container is now useless) and refuses to pay the insurance I bought. They're giving me the runaround, pretending to lose the photos, ignoring my emails, marking the claim as inactive without telling me. Finally I get: "If you'd wrapped it in cardboard we'd pay." Really?
Wrapping it in cardboard would protect the 3/8" plywood from breaking and the steel from bending due to your abuse? Morons.
Monetary Loss: $600.
