First off I feel I need to clarify based on the title of my review that I do not work for UPS nor am I affiliated with them in any way! FedEx is slow, expensive and treats it’s employees like garbage.

(I do not work for them, nor have I ever). These are just facts because I do KNOW someone who works the crazy overnight shift at UPS. That does not bias my review in any way as UPS has its flaws too. My boyfriend has worked there for 18 years and still cannot get a normal shift or even a full time position.

That’s a pretty big flaw UPS!! He is the hardest worker I know and NEVER calls out. So shame on UPS for that. On the positive side, their customers are a top priority.

They are reliable and super fast. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of FedEx. I wait around all day (and night) for my packages on the scheduled delivery date. Sometimes they don’t arrive on the tracking date promised.

They have been a day late more than once. Now for its employees, if you want to be a driver for FedEx (which is the only full time position that you can make roughly $60,000 if it’s the same as UPS), but the drivers have to BUY their own FedEx truck!!! I don’t know too many people who can afford to buy a vehicle of that size for work and work only!! I cannot imagine they pay their employees more than UPS to compensate for the ridiculous practice of them having to purchase their own FedEx truck!

For that reason and almost that reason alone, I’d never (and financially couldn’t) ever consider working there no matter how desperate I was. That and their customers are not a priority.

I wouldn’t work for a company where their “clients” are not a top priority. So that’s my rant.

Product or Service Mentioned: Fedex Delivery Service.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Clarification :

1. If you want it smashed, broken, dented, mishandled, late - use UPS.

If you want it costly, left in the snow, or impossible to track - use FEDEX.

They both occasionally succeed, they both occasionally fail.

I have used them both thousands of times since 1976 and have personally known multiple employees from both companies.

Some of the employees I would like to hire ; others, not. I'm sorry your friend is a malcontent ; advise him/her to find a new job.
