I purchased a package from a wonderful childrens furniture store. It was backordered and going to be available when I knew we would be out of town.

Knowing this, I put that the delivery person could leave the package without a signature. I have done this in the past and it has worked beautifully. I received an email before we even left for our vacation stating that our package had been shipped early and that I could track my order. Low and behold, Fedex was claiming that not only had they picked up the package...that they had also delivered it and left it at my front door.

They claim they left it on a day when I was home ALL DAY! Fedex STOLE my package and to this day has not returned one phone call of mine or tried to settle this in any way.

Moral of the story...don't put signature not required because it gives the dishonest deliverers of this world a free gift!
