Our company's objective was to ship a small package to Korea. You'd think a big company like FedEx would know how to accomplish this. This shipment was a nightmare, has FedEx ever shipped to Korea?
We spent time online (FedEx online is a joke, they won't give you any information unless you create six usernames and provide your home address and blood type) checking off requirements for shipping to Korea, then we called phone support to double check the package was ready to go. These overqualified individuals ask for your life story to begin the call then just read off a screen from the online site, furthermore plan on speaking with at least 4 agents (it's a known fact that just 1 FedEx representative cannot fully assist you alone).
After online and phone support we took the package to a FedEx Ship Center (not a smaller FedEx office) where the 3 employees assured me the package was ready to go and would make it to the destination.
It's been two weeks- no delivery, no charges estimated, no contact from FedEx. Turns out the package made it to Korea in 2 days then sat in the customs office for 12 days, meanwhile no FedEx communication, business relationship was ruined, thanks FedEx.
