Called a shipping center at 595 W 49 St Hialeah FL 33012 to inquire about shipping a perfect condition antique bicycle.I was assured they knew how to pack and ship safely so took the bike there on Jan 13,2016.

THe front wheel had to be taken off for it to fit the box but I was assured it was going to be packed safely. I said it was important because the bike was in perfect condition which is important with antique items.

The bike arrived 4 days later and got a email and pictures from the buyer. There was a hole in the box and NO packing inside the box.. NONE...

and the wheel was no secured in any way to for 4 days it jiggled around in the box severely damaging the finish on the bike, destroying a lot of the value of the bike. Fedex was contacted... I supplied pictures of the box, how it was packed and the damage. Then the run around began.

Claim was denied because it was packed wrong. YES.. but it was packed BY FEDEX.. that should have closed the case right there.

Send a copy of the receipt. Then they wanted proof of damage. Told them they already had the photos. Another week went by...

now they wanted an invoice of what it was worth. Went round and round about there was no invoice.. this is a 1986 bike but they had websites that had the same bike and what they sold for. That wasn't good enough..

they needed proof of value. Ah... press the link and you'll see the value.

One was sold for $880 and one for $1000.Well after a month, now the latest is they leave you on hold until you hang up because there is nothing they haven't been given to settle this case so just don't talk to us.

This is how a "reputable" company takes care of it's customers and lives up to it's promises?

brandywyne wrote the review because of "damaged merchandise and avoiding claim" at Fedex. Reviewer claimed that he or she lost $350 and wants Fedex to issue a full refund.

The most disappointing in user's experience was run around in getting claim. The author asks this business to immediately contact him/ her to briefly discuss his/ her negative experience with the company.
