My husband recently rented a textbook online, which was shipped via FedEx.We live in a condo complex, and unlike some condo complexes that are like mazes to try and get through, ours is very clearly labeled with building numbers and individual unit numbers.
Unfortunately when it came time to deliver the textbook, our FedEx driver delivered the package to the wrong building number. My husband called FedEx after the online tracking claimed that the package was delivered and it was nowhere to be found. All FedEx managed to do was confirm that the label on the package was confirm the address on the shipping label (they said they could not confirm the address that it was actually delivered to), give us a case number to refer to in any follow-up calls, and say that the driver had left for the day and they would have to question him about the delivery the next day (which ended up not being useful, as he said he had delivered it to the condo complex but couldn't give any additional details).
Fortunately, our neighbor from the building number next door (the neighbor that received the package in error) brought the package to our doorstep after discovering the package. So, thanks to good neighbors we received the package, if it had been up to FedEx, we would STILL be waiting.
