At all costs do not use fedex. I was tracking a package that said delivered at 10:57 am.
I called as there was no package delivered, I was told it was left by the gate. I had given detailed directions on where my house is and my phone number, neither of those contained anything about a gate. At noon I got a call from the local office asking if I had my package, when I said no the lady got upset and hung up on me. I called the corporate office again and asked what was going on.
They contacted the driver who told them she did not look at the address when she dropped my package off. At 2:00pm I was told I would have my package in 1 hour. At 4:00pm still no sign and I called again. After over an hour on the phone including being hung up on 5 times, I was told by a supervisor that the driver had delivered my package to a wrong address, picked it back up, took it further away from my house to a nice couple who told the driver that was not there’s, the driver set the package down and walked off knowing it was not the right address.
Now my package is gone. Fedex has told me after I spent the day on the phone with them that I now must contact the sender and put them through the pain of filling a claim with fedex. Why does a claim need to be filled when a supervisor in the consumer advocate division of fedex confirmed my package was actually delivered to 3 wrong addresses before the driver simply walked away? Fedex won’t take responsibility for their failures and refuses to correct them.
Don’t waste your time and money on fedex.
Side note, I could have already filled the claim with my sender, but fedex drug this dumpster fire out past closing time...now I get to pick this up next year. Thank you fedex for the amazing start to the new year.
