Had a package delivered from the US with an approximate value of $84. When Fedex delivered, they informed me that we owed them nearly $25 for their unwanted service of supposedly having the package released at the border 'more quickly' as well as supposed 'taxes & duties'.
I was told by the delivery person that this is a 'service' they provide, as if we should be grateful for being scammed by Fedex for a so-called 'service' we were forced to accept. This isn't a 'service' we ever asked for or required. Yet we had zero choice but to pay this outrageous fee if we wanted our package. If sent by regular mail from the US, we still receive our packages quickly & have never been charged extra for taxes, duties or anything else on orders under $100.
Fedex has gotten even worse than DHL & UPS.
Will never use Fedex services again. Canadian courier companies have turned into their own little corporate mafia.
This reviewer shared experience about pricing issue and wants this business to read this review and look into the issue (if any). The author is overall dissatisfied with Fedex. Reviewer wants customer support to reach out to him or her ASAP for further discussion of this matter.
