Supplier (Bed Bath and Beyind) quoted 3-7 days delivery for a small item (9lbs). They shipped thru FedEx SmartPost, and the expected delivery (so far) is 15 days, if it makes it here then.
Contacted FedEx, their comment is that SmartPost uses USPS and I should contact USPS.
Spoke to Customer Service at BB&B and they were not aware of the issues with SmartPost so I entered an official complaint there.
If they had told me up front how long it would take that would be different. But the estimate was 3-7 business days and that is not anywhere near what reality is with this service. FedEx should be more upfront about the length of time to ship items thru this service so customers have the option of looking elsewhere.
i will certainly not place an odder where SmartPost is being used.
I understand Amazon is also starting to use it and delivery times there are also suffering.
This reviewer shared experience about problem with delivery and wants this business to offer any options to resolve the issue. The author is overall dissatisfied with FedEx. Reviewer wants customer support to reach out to him or her ASAP for further discussion of this matter.
