My Credit card company filed a dispute on this, fedEx accepted it and provided refund.

I shipped a package of weight 6.7 lbs to India, at the time of shipping user told that price of $170 charged to my account.But FedEx charged $304 to my account. When I contacted fedex customer support they said that billing calculation happens based on the box dimensions.Though I sent 6.7 lbs ,fedex charged me for 19lbs.

If they are charging based on box dimensions why the fedEx employee didn't tell me about it and why he told price of $170 at the time of shipping.

I tried to reach out customer support multiple times & filing disputes but there is no help.I totally fed up with customer support given by fedEx and suggest all to not use fedEx service.
