I dropped off a one of a kind wooden base candle with a glass bowl to the local Monterey Ca. FedEx store.
I had them pack it and box it as it was a fragile item. They assured me that they would be able to protect the contents and deliver it without damage. They shipped it the following day and my sister received it several days later with the glass bowl shattered as well as damage to the candle as well. She contacted the local office and they arranged to pick it up to evaluate if they were responsible.
A week later after numerous phone calls they agreed to pay the amount the package was insured for and waive the shipping fee's. I then asked them to take the package back to where they picked it up. Instead they shipped it back to Ca. Then sent me o collections for outstanding delivery charges.
Go figure.......... Incompetence at it's best.
