We had our passports overnight shipped via FedEx for our departure on Friday, Aug 19th. Delivery was scheduled before 8AM CST, and we were to be in Canada by dinner time. Our shipment got stuck in Memphis for some "mechanical and computer errors", and we did not get our passports until Saturday the 20th, and even then we had to drive 45 min out of our way to a local district center. We lost an entire day and most of a second day of our trip as we didn't get to Canada until almost midnight on Saturday! Not to mention change fees and the money we spend on getting our passports expedited in the first place, FedEx needs to be held accountable and so far they have offered us nothing!

At minimum they owe us the cost of our first hotel night which was $350 - I'm not sure how they can reimburse us for our time but they need to do something.

Preferred solution: Reimbursement for our losses which we are happy to document, minus our time which is irreplaceable. .

I didn't like: Delivery turnaround, Lack of answers, Lack of solutions, Lack of offer to remedy, Lack of compensation to date.

FedEx isn't perfect. Planes break down, storms move in, accidents happen. Best way to avoid disappointment.....plan ahead instead of making your lack of planning, someone else's emergency.
