The package has been sitting somewhere, undelivered for 8 days now. Nobody seems to know where.

The FedEx International Customer Service office says that the local Amman office tells them that some sort of customs charge is due, but the International office doesn't know where the local office is located so the customs charge can be paid. Tomorrow is day 9 (after the date of promised delivery). I've been on the phone with FedEx probably 10-plus times over the last week or so. At first they said the package had been delivered to a third-party broker "at the recipient's request." The recipient has not even been contacted, much less requested a broker.

Then, after (apparently) some phone calls from package tracing to the local FedEx office, the whole thing about a broker somehow became a non-issue.

So now the package is sitting at some unidentifiable location in Amman. Too bad we didn't embed a homing beacon when we shipped it!

Reason of review: Problem with delivery.

Monetary Loss: $800.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.

I didn't like: I am still waiting for a new delivery more than 10 days.
