I paid Fedex to deliver a package containing an iphone valued over $800.00 It was to be delivered in the afternoon at about 4:30 pm to a specific person at a specific address and was to be signed for by the intended recipient.The morning of the day the delivery was to be made I called Fedex multiple times, requesting to have the package returned to me being the shipper as I was advised the person to whom it was sent would not be available to receive it owing to unforeseen circumstances.
Despite my effort Fedex failed to return the package to shipper claiming it was already on the truck for delivery and they had no way of contacting the driver. I filed a claim which was denied and the claims department could not be reached for an explanation as to the grounds on which it was denied. I called Fedex and to no avail. I could get no answer from them as to why the package was delivered to an address and not a person, and why Fedex failed to confirm the identity of the intended recipient before delivering the package.
they told me they deliver to an an address regardless of to whom it was sent.
I have lost a package valued over $800.00 plus the cost paid to Fedex to ship the package!!!Fedex has no regard or respect for their customers.
