I placed an order with a company that I've dealt with for a long time but because of bad service with DHL I decided to pay the extra and try FedEx. Well the package was dropped outside my door and upon opening my Tablet I purchased as a gift for my wife was missing. The package had considerable unused space with no packing inside, this isn't normal. I usually get packages with no room for air even. Upon examination of the package I can see the packaging tape with fragile written all over it has been cut and the package resealed with plain tape. I took good quality pictures showing the FedEx Employee the letters on the tape no longer line up and the cut in the tape. I asked if the claim from my shipper had been approved and was told no and thanked me saying my picture evidence made it easy to deny the claim. WHAT!!! was all I could come out with. I wrote back saying they made a mistake and my pictures clearly showed the opposite. I then asked them to do a free pick up of a package and I would send the original so they could see for themselves their mistake. She said she couldn't authorize this expense and from this point on any information I wanted had to come from my shipper. I checked the tracking log to find it spent a lot of time in Minnesota and while there was in transit twice before being sent out. I think Customs declarations showing all contents should remain hidden from handlers who feel Christmas must be year long, one look and if they see what they want it just take it out of the package. I was given credit by my shipper and reordered but trying UPS this time, Electronic thefts seem to be too easy for FedEx employees to steal, it really makes the honest workers there look really bad.

Hi Tammy, I decided to do a bit more checking to see if my package sat anywhere for any unusual length of time, below is the tracking information.Since it arrived at your facility on 11:53 pm and left there at 4:51Monday morning, why was it in transit from 1:16 3:04 and then departed at 4:51am it's the only place this package was sitting for any length of time but seems it was still in motion. Is there more than one location in Memphis? From the timing of the rest of it's journey, it never sat anywhere for any length of time except Memphis. So to me it would be interesting to know why it is showing in transit if there is only the one location, it doesn't say to different location, this is where I would be looking unless there's a reason for the in transits. It, strange that a 1 kg package is shown as 25 kg
