We have had 2 large packages delivered lately and both arrived very badly damaged--the boxes caved in and torn. It looks as if the boxes were thrown or packed so badly in the trucks that they were repeatedly hit by larger boxes (although these were both large and heavy).

Both orders had to be returned to the companies and one replacement set also arrived with a damaged box--so Fedex is 0 for 3 for our deliveries at this point. I can't imagine a shipping company remaining in business with such a poor record and clearly incompetent packers.

In both cases, Fedex also left the packages out in the snow without ringing the doorbell, and left them past the garage and not at all near our front door.

It is likely that they sat out in this weather. Fortunately in these cases, neither were more damaged by the weather than by the damage to the containers.
