Two weeks to deliver from Fed-X in comparison to UPS which takes one week.
Where UPS takes one day to deliver; Fed-X takes 4. Once close to a one day delivery, Fed-X then delivers to a USPS station which takes another three days.
The closest local Fed-X center is 70 miles away. UPS is 2 miles.
There transferring of packages from Fed-X deliver to USPS causes unnecessary delays. If a Fed-X comes to deliver the package it is not uncommon for them to come after hours or on a holiday. They allow three attempts and send back to their 70 mile station for pick-up only or return to sender.
There is never an email or a phone call to give warning until after the fact. They could take some lessons from UPS.
